Lenken statt Ablenken (‘Don’t get distracted at the wheel’) accident prevention campaign – phase 1

Dynamite developed an accident prevention campaign for the police designed to reduce the number of accidents caused by drivers in Switzerland being distracted and not concentrating on the road.

The widespread campaign made drivers and everyone else on the road more aware of the dangers of being distracted. The focus is on all the potential distractions drivers might face, such as talking on their phones, texting, using MP3 players or satnavs, eating or even putting on their make-up. By reminding everyone of the potential dangers, the aim was to encourage everyone on the road to change their behaviour, leading to better road safety and fewer traffic accidents.

The Keine Ablenkung (‘No distractions’) road safety campaign is a joint initiative by several different police forces. It’s being run in the canton of Zurich (including the cities of Zurich and Winterthur) and in eastern and central Switzerland.
